BC Buds Garlic

Challenge

BC Buds Garlic asked Straydog Branding to redesign their Vernon based spice company. They required brand identity and package design for their garlic-based dinners and spices. The purpose of the re-design was to better connect with the target market re-fresh the outdated design, which did not convey the product quality or desired brand positioning.

Action

Having new products introduced on a regular basis, the design system needed to be versatile enough to fit a broad range of products. First we developed a new brand logo that is clean, clear, and refreshingly honest aesthetic with a hint of handmade. The mono-line logo works well on the various background colours and furthermore, this versatile style can be adapted as matching icons and illustrations.

For the package design, we developed a separate colour palette for the dinners and one for the spices, with individual colour schemes for the products within each product line. As BC Buds introduces new products on a regular basis we also were mindful that the design system needed to be versatile enough to fit a broad range of products.

Result

BC Buds rebranding has given them valuable exposure and a clean and consistent look moving forward.
