Lucky Iron Fish
Challenge
Lucky Iron Fish approached Straydog Branding to re-design their brand and packaging.
A grassroots project started by an Ontario-based company, Lucky Iron Fish is a cast iron fish used to provide dietary supplementation of iron.
Lucky Iron Fish started supplying the product to developing countries, such as Cambodia and quickly gained widespread recognition around the globe. Featured on TedX and in MacLeans magazine, the team realized their was a bigger market who could benefit from the product.
Action
We began by developing a new brand identity that was clean, modern and spoke to the market they were going after. The product would be carried in a variety of health and grocery stores and would be merchandised with iron supplements.
With a minimal colour palette and strong graphics, our strategy was to have the product stand apart, but not look out of place.
We re-designed the logo to maintain the heritage of the original, with a new fresh look and feel. The new logo needed to be versatile and capable of working within many applications.
